Behind the brand with Raj, Nutritionist, Health Coach, Movement Teacher

1. What led you to do what you do, in supporting people to tap into themselves through your unique approach to nutrition and to the incredible BURN philosophy?

To be honest: Frustration with my own process. I spent years trialing different labels: Vegan, paleo, boxer, dancer, fruitarian, runner...All in search of trying to find the perfect box to put myself in. It wasn't until I shifted my focus more to my own internal cues, from lack and restriction to more of an abundant mindset, that the needle started to shift. The ripple effect was beyond just movement and nutrition. It impacted every aspect of my life, understanding that I had the answers and that I just had to figure out how to access them truly changed my life. NB: Figuring out how to access said answers is not necessarily a pretty process, but it sure is a fool-proof way to get to know oneself and the rewards along the way are most definitely worth it. It's also worth noting that the these "answers" are ever-evolving and that the process in ongoing, we just get better at navigating it.

2.  What is your biggest health non-negotiable?

SLEEEEEP for sure. I move mountains to ensure I am getting enough of those z's each night.

3. What is your favourite daily ritual?

My morning cup of matcha. It's been a non-negotiable for the last five or so years and I literally go to bed excited to wake up and make it each day. It's the little things ;)

4. What does sustainability mean to you?

Sustainability to me is about creating rituals and routines (no matter how mundane) that can be adhered to. Not in a rigid, strict, rule-like way. But in a way that enhances each moment (truly) and creates healthy habits that become a part of our daily lives. 5. anything else you'd like us to know? Sometimes wellness is fries and a good belly laugh. Don't let the green juices and 'superfoods' marketing fool you! Joy is a huge part of your health.
