2 Smoothie Recipes you’ll love

clean green or chocolate bliss?


Smoothies can be hit and miss, I love them when the weather is warm or when I’m really craving a little nutrient boost, however they need to be nice and creamy and blended well!

Here are two of my go-to’s.

I find I’m partial to a green smoothie or green juice after a wine the night before, it’s all about balance after all!


GREEN SMOOTHIE

Ingredients.

 1/2 frozen banana

Sml handful of frozen papaya (if you have)

1/4 frozen avocado

big handful of baby spinach

1 stalk celery chopped

small handful coriander, mint + parsley

1.5 cups coconut water

2 T Hemp Seeds (for a serve of protein without the fuss)

Add to blender/Nutri bullet or food processor + blend on high until well combined. Add a little water if too thick.

Optional: add protein powder, probiotics, green powders or adaptogens of choice.


On colder days I like to add a little fresh ginger to my green smoothie or a pinch of cayenne pepper to my cacao smoothie to help warm me up and digest it better.

In both Chinese medicine and the ayurvedic philosophy, cold food and drinks are not recommended in the colder weather, however some days I just feel like a little smoothie hit!

CACAO SMOOTHIE

Ingredients.

½ frozen banana

1 tbsp almond butter

1 tbsp cacao powder

1 tbsp cacao nibs

½ tsp vanilla extract

1 tbsp hemp hearts

1 cup nut milk

3 ice cubes Pinch of sea salt

Blend on HIGH + sip in Bliss.
